SINJA JANA WICHROWSKI

Sinja Jana Wichrowski (b. 2004, Munich) is a visual artist based in Guimarães, Portugal. 

 

After relocating to Portugal in 2021 she is now studying Visual Arts at the University of Minho. Her transnational trajectory informs a practice attentive to language and cultural translation, as well as to the sustaining intimacies of home and family. Working experimentally across media, she gravitates toward tactile, three-dimensional forms. Recent works in wood and clay explore how material can “speak” alongside image and form.
