‘WHITE KNUCKLE GRIP’ is a journey of tension and release, explored through monkey and humankind. Chaos, anger and growth have been examined in depth. This satirical lens approaches issues of online contention, stubbornness and forced beliefs as we are currently seeing social conception both evolve and devolve. The issues of ‘alpha males’, traditional families and propaganda are explored. Aesthetic contrast can be seen in character portrayal; where child-like illustrations and nightmarish realism stand together. Conformity, performative actions and feral nature bleed forward.
