Annika Eschmann is an artist based in Vienna who works with a range of media, including drawing and printmaking techniques. She earned a Master's degree with distinction in Transdisciplinary Arts from the University of Applied Arts Vienna, where she also studied Graphic and Printmaking. Eschmann also studied at the Srishti Institute for Art, Design and Technology in Bangalore, India, and has received several scholarships for her work. Her work is featured in public and private collections and in exhibitions in Austria and abroad.
Before and during her studies, Eschmann traveled and stayed extensively in multiple countries. These experiences have greatly influenced her work, both as artifacts of her travels and as themes that recur throughout her pieces. She explores the context-dependency of works and techniques, as well as the potential and challenges of abstraction processes and their ability to create connections.
