BWOKAA WANDSCHER
Bwokaa Wandscher was born in 1975 in Brazil, where he spent his childhood and studied Visual Programming at the Federal University of Santa Maria (BR). Currently and since 2001 is settled in Barcelona where he is inspired and develops his work.
In 2014 he decides to explore other creativity branches, focusing on the job of chef de cuisine and exploring the musical field. Highlights of this stage are the period as a chef at the 2 Michelin-star restaurant, ‘Disfrutar’, by the chefs of the mythical ‘El Bulli’ and an experimental musical project where he develops as a trumpeter. This stage is followed by a more introspective one, in which he returns to the pictorial field with the series ‘NATURAL’.

ARTIST STATEMENT
"The pictorial research has led me to this series that express my essence, landscapes of the subconscious, where understanding is not necessary but feeling is. An abstract territory where there is no here or there, up or down.
